Pavla 1/72 Fieseler Fi-167 - Aircraft Carrier Based Torpedo Bomber, 72001 plastic model kit

1/72 72001 Pavla Fieseler Fi-167 - Aircraft Carrier Based Torpedo Bomber

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

Still the only 1/72 scale injection molded kit of this great subject. This limited production model has injection molded parts with recessed panel lines, numerous photoetched details, very good cockpit and guuner's station, torpedo and bomb load and more. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. This unique aircraft was designed in the 1930s as an aircraft carrier-based torpedo bomber. In the fly-off competition with the AR-195 in 1938 the Fieseler proved the superior aircraft. The Technical Office ordered 12 pre-production aircraft for further trials and training on the aircraft carrier Graf Zeppelin. But, due to political sabotage by Luftwaffe officials, the ship was not completed. The remaining Fi-167s were sold to abroad.
