Rare first issue hardbox dated 1962 with the finest mold quality. This is the single greatest model kit for the Mercury Atlas program. Includes parts are molded in the correct gray, silver and yellow and the 'Everything Is Go' booklet telling the story of the Friendship 7/Lt. Col. Glenn Flight. This kit was modified from the Atlas Ballistic Missile molds. Features Atlas/Mercury missile and capsule, incredibly well detailed launching pad, ramp, tractor transports, nitrogen tank & trailer, ground crew figures and more. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals, special booklet and instructions. NOTE: the box displays better than the 'good++' rating but is graded as such because there is a crease and some wear on the right long side panel and one split corner.
