Rare and unusual limited release kit. These craft saw extensive use in Southeast Asia as patrol craft and escorts for river convoys. Fitted with conventional armor, they also had 'stand-off' armor of welded steel rods spaced about one foot from the hull and superstructure. This was intended to detonate RPG and other projectiles before they could hit the armor plate. Monitors often closed to within a few feet of shore to give fire support to troops. Never started. All parts but the hull are still in the factory sealed internal bags. NOTE: missing instructions. I have had this kit before and all of the correct parts bags are present, so there is an excellent chance that it is complete.
