Still factory sealed but the seal has split on the left side as shown. This is an excellent, highly prefabricated control line model intended to fly on .020 or .074 size gas engines. The kit is designed by Walter Musciano and features a carved wood fuselage, airfoil wings, other die-cut wood parts, formed metal parts such as landing gear strut, bellcrank, horn, etc and more. This model is likely from the mid to late 1960s. Scientific Model Airplane Company was founded by John D. Frisoli of Newark, N.J. He started the business in a 12 foot square store in the 1940s. By 1952 John had sales of plane, boat & race car kits and accessories totaling about $200,000 annually.
