Rare 1930s/40s model of the world's most successful passenger-carrying rigid airship. Features standard stick-and-tissue construction, printed balsa bulkheads, pre-cut keel and stringer stock, thick balsa sheet for the four fins, balsa blocks for the nose, engine, gondola & rear cone, covering tissue, full size plans which include building instructions. Never started. The parts have been inventoried 100% complete. If you wish to build this double sized, use a copier to enlarge the instructions and bulkheads 2X. Then supply your own balsa wood, tissue and balsa blocks. I have seen an add for this model in very old Model Airplane News magazines. C&S made quite a line of ridged airships including the Los Angeles (in two lengths), Graf Zeppelin (in two sizes), Hindenburg, a US Navy Metal Clad Blimp and perhaps others. The C&S boxes were thin cardboard and are almost always beat up and missing sections; this one is no exception.
