High Planes was famous for making limited-run injection molded kits of famous air racers. Most were in 1/72 but this one is in 1/48 scale. The model features all fine recessed panel lines, detailed cockpit and gear wells, cast metal landing gear struts and more. Includes 'American Jet' decals in amazing 'Near Mint' condition and also four real color photos of details of the actual aircraft as well as a color copy of the aircraft from a distance for overall painting information. NOTE: this kit has very minor and 'professional' quality sub-assembly. The cockpit is built and is neatly painted; the spinner also is built. There is no other assembly. The engine front is neatly painted black; there is no other painting. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.
