1/63 565-149 Lindberg German Blitz Bomber He-111 with Tractor - Ground Artwork Hardbox Issue

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

From the late 1950s. Rare version hardbox box with great Ray Gaedke artwork. This artwork is normally found on the Cellovision issue and shows the aircraft being serviced on the tarmac. Features movable control surfaces, retractable landing gear, scale engines with removable cowls, 'good' cockpit detail, crew members, full armament, detailed 1/48 scale tractor with driver and more. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts decals and instructions present. Please note that the box displays much better than 'very good+' but is graded as such because the side panels have slight bowing and wear and there is a stain on the box bottom (the 'tray'). Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. After the war, Lindberg and Olsen had a strong hand in early United States injection molded kit development. Please see the article located on this website about early USA plastic kit manufacturers.
