Academy 1/72 Boeing B-17B Flying Fortress, 2106 plastic model kit

1/72 2106 Academy Boeing B-17B Flying Fortress

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

From 1991. Beautiful and well detailed model of the early Fortress. Molded with all fine recessed panel lines. Features excellent cockpit detail, rotating props and wheels, bomb bay detail and full bomb load and optional position doors. NOTE: this kit has very minor, 'professional' quality subassembly as follows: four seats assembled to the floor. There is no other assembly. Inventoried 100% complete and includes decals and instructions. Dusty Rhodes was doing box art research and discovered that the painting for this kit represents the Good Will flight from Langley to Rio de Janeiro in November of 1938. The future SAC leader, Curtis LeMay, was on this flight as the lead navigator as a lowly First Lieutenant.
