Classic large 12.5 inch wingspan kit. Made of solid, completely precarved Western Pine - not balsa. Builds up to an impressive display model. Features fuselage, wings, elevators, engine pylons and engine nacelles all cut to shape. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried with all wood and plastic parts present and even has the original glue, wood filler and sandpaper. With instructions. Also includes big Strombecker stand and stand arm. Before plastic kits were introduced, Strombecker was famous as the premier hardwood preshaped model manufacturer. In the 1940s and 1950s, Strombecker kits were flawlessly engineered but not inexpensive. All wooden parts are hardwood and are precarved to shape - usually only sanding would finish them.
