C6 StromBecker Boeing 314 Clipper - Pan Am

Very rare. Most likely from the late 1930s. StromBecker was famous for their line of precarved hardwood kits and they are considered the finest ever made. The carving is done to the final shape which makes them remarkably pre-fabricated. This one features a completely carved to shape fuselage, wings, four engine nacelles and horizontal & vertical stabilizers, four metal propellers, sandpaper, an envelope of powdered glue and high-quality instructions. When built it makes an impressive desk top display. Never started It has been inventoried and NOTE: missing (2) of (4) standard nails that StromBecker included as propeller shafts. Otherwise complete with all other parts and includes instructions. Many of these early StromBecker kits did not come with insignia or decals; this one is no exception.
