Large and highly detailed model. The HH-53 used improved versions of the rotors, gearboxes and control systems from the Skycrane to achieve heavy lift capability. In Vietnam, these helicopters would actually lift wreaked aircraft from the crash site and return them to base for spare parts, repair, or simply to keep them out of enemy hands. Features cockpit and interior detail, opening cargo doors and swing-down ramps, rotating rotors and wheels, external tanks and refueling boom. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
