1/50 Novoexport Mi-4 Helicopter - Aeroflot
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Good-
Very rare and easily the largest MI-4 every issued in plastic. There is no record on the internet of this kit every changing hands. At one point MEE (France) was the mold owner, but an issue has never been spotted. However, DFI, Donetsk Toy Factory in the Ukraine did produce a 1/50 Mi-4 at one point and this kit is most likely from those molds. This issue is molded in ivory and light grey plastic and comes with cut-out insignia and all windows, vents, red and blue stripes and registration for Aeroflot. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes full-color cut-out sheet and instructions. Novoexport was the company that handled the Soviet side of the NOVO arrangement concerning Frog kit molds, which began in 1976. Novoexport also issued at least 4 LFI models and this ex-DFI model. At one point they even reissued the 1/72 Airfix Mig-17. Other kits could show up over time.
