Museum quality craftsman kit features hardwood, kiln-dried, precarved hull, 150 finely cast Britannia fittings, 500 photo-etched and turned brass parts, other hardwood & metal parts as required and more. Includes very detailed full size plans and instructions. This is the more modern issue of this model. The kit has never been started. Everything but the hull is still in the factory sealed bags. Includes all paperwork. T-2 Tankers were 'National Defense Ships' and about 500 were built in response to war needs and attrition due to U-Boat operations in the Atlantic and off the coast of the USA. Many of them remained in service for decades after the war.
