Nicely detailed and finely molded featuring complete cockpit and full interior with floor and benches, optional position boarding doors and stairs and more. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The Horsa was perhaps the most advanced glider built during WWII. It had full instrumentation, power operated flaps and brakes and a powered device for jettisoning the landing gear upon touchdown. The Horsa MkI carrier troops while the MkII carried vehicles which loaded through the swing nose and unloaded from an explosively-released rear fuselage after landing. Gliders carried in 20% of the reinforcements and supplies for D-Day, and most were Horsas. They also saw action against the German Heavy Water (Atomic Bomb) plants in Norway and targets in Sicily, Arnhem and the Rhine.
