1/48 H214-89 Revell Sikorsky S-55 - Pre 'S' Issue - First Issue With Once-Piece Stand Arm

Very rare, true first issue from 1955 in the Pre-S box. The box is in 'Excellent++' condition with boxart by Richard Kishady. This is the true first issue because it includes the rare one-piece stand arm and correctly show it in the instructions also. This stand arm was weak and Revell quickly replaced it with the two-piece version. This kit features detailed cockpit and two pilots, rotating main and tail rotors, detailed engine and optional position clam-shell nose doors. Molded in the correct high-gloss dark olive drab and clear and with the famous 'New Revelving Swivel Base." Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The decals are perfectly flat, 100% intact and in 'excellent+' condition as are the instructions. Both have light age yellowing is the only flaw.
