Monogram 1/72 B-52 Stratofortress with Jet Sound - Vietnam Camouflage Issue, PA215 plastic model kit

1/72 PA215 Monogram B-52 Stratofortress with Jet Sound - Vietnam Camouflage Issue

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good++

Rare 1969 issue has Vietnam-style boxart on a high-gloss box. This is the 2nd release of this kit and the last with rare 'Jet Sound.' These models were designed with a major selling point - a cello-covered internal parts display that could be seen by potential modelers at the store. The yellow-framed clear cello covering is present which is very rare; it is almost always missing. Inside, all cardboard presentation is still mint and even includes the tissue packing paper underneath. At this point (1969), Monogram had ceased making 'Monoglue', so the B-52 presentation cardboard either had another brand factory-installed (Testors was common) or had a empty spot for glue. Features 207 parts, crew of three, detailed cockpit, elevating and traversing rear turret, opening and closing bomb bay doors, operating wing flaps, operating spoilers, optional position entry hatch and landing gear, and optional parts to display one nacelle open to show the jet engine and of course battery-powered realistic Jet Sound. It has never been started. Inventoried with all parts, 'excellent++' decals, instructions, B-52 booklet and Jet Sound supplement instructions present. Please NOTE that box displays better than the 'good++' rating but I graded it as such because there is tape residue on the bottom of the four side panels.
