Consolidated Model Engineering Jap Zero - 18 Inch Wingspan for 1/2 A Gas Engines plastic model kit

Consolidated Model Engineering Jap Zero - 18 Inch Wingspan for 1/2 A Gas Engines

Wood and Metal Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Very Rare. From the late 1940s or early 1950s. Please note, these came in generic boxes with the model stamped on the end. All of them have a photo of a Corsair, but the kit inside is a Zero as stamped on the box end. The Consolidated flying solids were excellent kits and highly prefabricated. The were 100% solid (no tissue) U-control models designed for 1/2 A size engines. Features a factory carved fuselage, shaped (profile cut) wings, horizontal and vertical stabilizers, fully formed main and tail wheels, balsa and metal stock, plywood firewall, round metal stock as required, hinge material, celluloid clear canopy with printed frames, color decals and full size plans that include building instructions. NOTE: this kit has 'professional' quality assembly. The fuselage and rudder are assembled and perfectly finished to final shape. The quality of the work is outstanding, straight and true to the plans. There is no other assembly. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
