Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

The SM 81 was an Italian bomber, torpedo bomber and transport in service from 1935 and 1945. It was derived from the MS 73 transport in 1934 and ordered into mass production following successful testing. The aircraft saw action in Eritrea/Ethiopia, Spain and Spanish Morocco, Libya, Albania, Italy and East Africa. Some even saw action in the Italian and Finnish Air Forces after WWII. From 1972 and nicely detailed for that time. Features optional cowls for Piaggio and Alfa Romeo engined versions, very good interior, retracting and rotating turrets with elevating guns, optional position crew doors, separately molded control surfaces, rotating props and wheels, optional torpedo and markings for two aircraft (camo and Pipistrello). The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.
