1967 hardbox issue of this rare kit. The D-VII and several other aircraft were originally designed for a gas motor U-Control, but Aurora decided to discontinue gas powered models after a short release time because of service issues and return volume. In order to further utilize the expensive molds, Aurora released the entire line as static 'Giant Size Models' with screwdriver assembly - known today as 'Aurora Screwdriver Kits.' This is that version. Very large kit molded in bright gloss red, black and tan with real rubber wheels and metal hardware. The kit has never been started. The black and metal parts are in the factory sealed bag. The red parts were not sealed and have been inventoried complete. With 'excellent' decal sheet and 'very good++' instructions. Includes the famous Aurora screwdriver that was only included with these early issues.
