The first electric tram in Mallorca, which ran between Soller and the Port de Soller. Service began on October 4, 1913. Designed and directed by D. Pedro Garau, there were 4,868 meters of track laid and initially the tram had its own power plant located in the Soller station itself. This plant was powered by a 65-horsepower internal combustion engine that powered a dynamo that provided a continuous current of 600 volts. The subject of this model, Soller AAB FHV-2, ran on this railway. She was built in 1929 for Ferrocarril de Soller, SA, by Carde and Escoriaza. The mechanical parts were made locally and Siemens provided the electrical subassemblies. Power was from a pantograph with a voltage of 1200 Vdc which drove 4 Siemens-Schuckert traction motors with a power of 360 kW (90 kW x 4). The Soller tram had both electric and vacuum brakes.
