1962 Revell of Canada issue with John Steel box art. Well detailed, large scale model measures 15.75 inches long when assembled. The kit has never been started. Inside, it is just as it left the factory with all parts and paperwork still sealed in the factory clear bag. The Aaron Ward served as a station ship during the first trans-Atlantic flights of NC-1, NC-3 and NC-4 in 1919. During that time she was commanded by the famous Commander R.A. Spruance (later Admiral) of Midway fame. After that she served in the Pacific Fleet. In 1940 she became part of the famous Lend-Lease arrangement and was renamed HMS Castleton and saw heavy duty as a convoy escort in the North Atlantic till 1944.
