This issue (and this issue only) has the body parts molded in an amazing metalflake red plastic. Very nicely detailed model that features working headlights, working steering, motorized drive on two 'D' batteries, complete chrome rolling chassis build just like a real car including working spring shocks, complete underside and suspension detail, highly detailed V-8 engine with ignition wiring and working clutch in the transmission, full interior with cloth seatbelts and instrument face decals, whitewall tires, opening hood and trunk and much more. Molded in an amazing red metal flake, four big trees of chrome plated parts, ivory, clear, black and rubber-like tires. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete and includes decals and instructions. This kit has an amazing history. It all started with the GT200 Bubble Top Dream Car in 1964; in 1972 it was issued as the open (no top bubble) Diamond Duster but also as the SC-100 with the bubble top. In 1981, the roofed version was again issued, this time as the Silver Streak 1990 GT Sport Coupe. In the 1990s Lindberg reissue the Diamond Duster open car in a limited numbered edition of 3500 units.
