Ideal Aeroplane & Supply 1/380 RMS Queen Mary Ocean Liner Super Detail Issue - 32 Inches Long plastic model kit

1/380 Ideal Aeroplane & Supply RMS Queen Mary Ocean Liner Super Detail Issue - 32 Inches Long

Wood and Metal Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

This model is from 1938 and is Ideal's finest issue of the almost 32 inch long Queen Mary. It features an accurate, pre-carved solid wood hull, numerous cast metal fittings such as 24 lifeboats, stairs, winches, props, etc., 48 aluminum davits, assorted wooden stock, numerous neatly done printwood sheets, printed cardstock, sandpaper, funnel tubing, glass bottles of Ideal lacquer, shellac and three jars of paint. The superb plans are full size and in 'good+' condition with some bug damage but not bad. The assembly procedure is detailed in writing and with the drawings. Sectional profiles are included as well as detail views. The kit has not been started. Most small parts are still sealed in factory bags; the two bags that are torn have been inventoried complete. All parts that were never factory sealed have been inventoried complete with the huge plans and detailed parts sheet with instructions (also with minor bug damage). Ideal was a famous producer of early model kits. In 1911 they released their first aircraft kit, which put them among the first USA model companies. Ideal was unique also in that they released large ocean liners, giving us the only big scale SS Normandie, SS America, Rex and RMS Queen Mary models ever made.
