In 1929 Blackburn flights were re-numbered 450 and 449 Fleet Spotter Reconnaissance. flights and served with HMS Argus in the Far East and on HMS Courageous in the Mediterranean. Blackburns were eventually replaced by Fairey IIIFs in 1931. A total of 30 Mark I and 30 Mark II Blackburns were built.
