Vaccuform Model Kit

Rare and still the only Blackburn Blackburn kit ever made. Features main vacuformed molded airframe parts with resin details and full decals. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions & decals. The Blackburn Blackburn was a rather portly airframe but the sound design made it a very successful aircraft for it's role as fleet spotter and reconnaissance aircraft. Mark II Blackburn's entered service in 1926 with No 420 Fleet Spotter Flight at Gosport and later on HMS Furious. In 1929 Blackburn flights were re-numbered 450 and 449 Fleet Spotter Reconnaissance. flights and served with HMS Argus in the Far East and on HMS Courageous in the Mediterranean. Blackburns were eventually replaced by Fairey IIIFs in 1931. A total of 30 Mark I and 30 Mark II Blackburns were built.
