B20M Sterling Caltex Lumba-Lumba With Optional Fittings Set B20F - 38 Inches Long For R/C Or Display

Rare in this condition and ever rarer with the fittings set. This very large, scale model is 'completely pre-fabbed for easy assembly' It features die-cut plywood and balsa parts, factory carved parts, plastic molded smoke stack, other plastic parts as well, sheeted hull construction, 'excellent' decals, superb full size drawings and plans and simple-to-follow, step by step instructions. Never started and complete. Lumba-Lumba means 'porpoises' in the far east. This ship was commissioned by Caltex Pacific Oil Company in 1961 to speed personnel and freight from Sumatra to Singapore. She was designed by the famous naval architects Sparkman and Stephens who created the Columbia (winner of the New England yacht races. NOTE: this kit must be shipped insured.
