Renwal 1/200 SSB(N)-608 Ethan Allen Polaris Launching Nuclear Submarine, 652 plastic model kit

1/200 652 Renwal SSB(N)-608 Ethan Allen Polaris Launching Nuclear Submarine

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

Fantastic Cold-War artwork on this early issue. From the early 1960s judging from the newer Renwal logo at the upper left. The Ethan Allen was the lead submarine of her class. These replacements for the George Washington class had 16 tubes as before, but could carry the Polaris A-1, A-2 and A-3. Classic large (24" long) SSBN kit actual fires a spring-loaded Polaris Missiles from the hull launch tube. Highly detailed and well molded for that time. Starboard hull halve hinges down to reveal full interior detail for each compartment. There is no assembly but NOTE: one bulkhead and the bunk sheets on one part have minor painting. There is no other painting. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please NOTE that the box displays better in the photo than the 'Good+' grade; I have graded it such because there are fine scratches in the box top litho on and ahead of the sail.
