Fantastic Cold-War artwork on this early issue. From the late 1950s. The Ethan Allen was the lead submarine of her class. These replacements for the George Washington class had 16 tubes as before, but could carry the Polaris A-1, A-2 and A-3. Classic large (24" long) SSBN kit actual fires a spring-loaded Polaris Missiles from the hull launch tube. Highly detailed and well molded for that time. Starboard hull halve hinges down to reveal full interior detail for each compartment. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
