1/64 1101 Marine Model Co Lilberty Ship EC-2

Wood and Metal Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

NOTE: read carefully, builder kit only. Likely from the 1940s. One in a line of accurate and detailed kits promoted by world-famous ship modeler Gordon Grant. Features beautiful, fully carved hardwood hull that measures 18 inches long, other hardwood parts and stock as required, numerous metal fittings, superb, full size plans and another sheet with instructions. NOTE: there is minor shaping done to two small wooden deck parts. There is no other work done and no other assembly. NOTE: the wood parts appear complete except for maybe two or three small parts easily made from wood stock. The majority of the fittings are present but are missing the following: (1) of (6) bitts, (8) machine guns, (4) ventilators, (3) boom rests, (1) of (8) small gun tubs, (1) prop, (11) eyebolts and (32) portholes. Inventoried with all other parts and plans with instructions. The box is only fair and has heavy damage. Marine Model Company was located in New York, New York and produced an extensive line of wooden ship kits, some of which are shown on this box top.
