Cleveland Vought F4U Corsair Simplex Flying Aircraft - 18 Inch Wingspan, S-79 plastic model kit

S-79 Cleveland Vought F4U Corsair Simplex Flying Aircraft - 18 Inch Wingspan

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good-

Rare kit dated 1953 on the plans but 1951 on the box. The Simplex line was designed for those who wanted true scale appearance but wanted to get into the air faster. They were not 'simple' as the name implies, but they were easier than the tedious but very realistic 1/16 scale Cleveland offerings. This kit features tapered, sharp trailing edges that are clearly notched for the ribs, perfectly rounded leading edges that are also rib notched, three sheets of quality die-cut printwood, fully finished cowl, clear vacuform canopy, a factory sealed wax bag containing fully formed wheels, factory-bent gear struts (main and tail) and more, full color decals, rubber motor and plastic prop and Clevelands superior plans with all drawings and detailed text instructions for building and flying. The kit has not been started. NOTE: Missing one W7 wing rib. Easily made from the wood included, using the other W7 as a pattern. Inventoried with all other parts and paperwork present. The box displays nice but is missing two small and one big end flap on the left side.
