1/8 Pocher Itala 35/45 CV. 1907 Peking to Paris Race Winner

Multimedia Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Very, Very Rare. One of 350 made. Very highly detailed, large scale kit with about 600 parts. Features full engine, rolling chassis, cockpit and much more. The kit has never been started. Inside, the kit has never been touched and is as it left the factory. All the parts that were factory sealed (which is almost all of them) are still factory sealed. The few that were not sealed have been inventoried complete. Please note that the original paint condition ranges from 'excellent' to 'poor.' One plastic piece has two clean breaks but is complete and a straight-forward repair. This kit is fragile and sold as a collectible only. Thanks to Giovanni Ingrao and Scalemotorcars for the following information: This kit is the forerunner of all large-scale Pocher car kits. From 1972 to 1979, Ar-Po (Arnaldo Pocher) produced quality train accessories. But in May of 1981 Arnaldo, with help from his son-in-law Adelmo Canali (a famous Italian model maker), set out to create the their first car kit: The Peking-Paris race winner, Itala 35/45 CV. from 1907. They started production in 1983 and sold it under the name brand "Metrop - Produced by AR-Po." Production was limited to 350 kits. It is a very highly detailed kit with parts in plastic, wood (where the real car had wood), pewter, brass, copper, aluminum, steel, leather and more. It is very highly detailed, like the future Pocher kits. Arnaldo Pocher died in a tragic accident in 1989.
