The 1973 Monogram/Mattel issue of the classic 'Four Star' kit. Well detailed with excellent fit. Features retracting landing gear, rotating wheels and props, three man crew, optional position door and two survivors in a life raft. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: decals are 100% intact and flat but have fine age cracks. Please read the article (located on this website) about how to save older decals such as these. The Albatross was the primary sea rescue aircraft of the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service, a branch of MAC - Military Airlift Command. Operational service began in 1947 and Hu-16s saw wartime action in Vietnam.
