NOTE: builder kit only, please read below. Rare 1966 hardbox issue. Very large 1/118 scale kit is over two feet long when assembled and is a very detailed model for that time. Features full hull, display stand, metal chain, detailed deck fittings, pre-formed rat lines, billowing sails, blocks and detailed rigging diagrams. Molded in correct dark wood, black, tan, and ivory/white. Features full hull, display stand, detailed deck fittings, billowing sails, metal anchor chains, running and standing rigging, molded ratlines and display stand. This model was one of a small series of large scale sailing ships made by Aurora to appeal to the serious ship modeler. NOTE: this kit has minor assembly. Several eyebolts have been glued to the deck. There is no other assembly. NOTE: about a dozen parts have been painted. This includes one hull half below the waterline only, the other hull half fully painted, both main decks and the deck hatches/skylights. There is no other painting. Much of the paint is neat and can be painted over. Some will need a light sanding before painting. You may wish to strip it with DOT3 brake fluid, spray oven clear or any other safe, tested plastic paint stripper. NOTE: missing one #65 davit. Easily made using the other davits as a pattern. Inventoried with all other parts, three types of rigging material, decals, flag sheet and instructions present.
