Original hardbox issue dated 1956. Not the common reissue. Will build a stock Chrysler New Yorker or a wild custom with 78 customizing accessories such as turtle fins, mirrors, spotlights, hood scoops, side stacks, 'shark' fender fins, continental extension kit, antennas, 8 disc and bumper bullets, fender skirts and more. Molded in high-gloss black with chrome and clear parts. The kit has never been started. The parts have been inventoried complete. NOTE: the instructions are photocopies and the decals are missing. This original kit can be told from the reproduction by 1. Hardbox instead of soft box, 2. Gloss plastic instead of flat to semi-gloss and 3, the original issue contains a MotorTrend chromed two-piece 'trophy' that says "MotorTrend - Revell Project IDEA." This part was removed from all reissues for licensing reasons.
