1/115 441-595 Aurora The Hartford - Admiral Farragut's Flagship at Mobile Bay

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

1966 issue. The Hartford was the flagship of Rear Admiral David Farragut. In the Hartford he lead the Union Fleet to capture the Confederate forts guarding Mobile Bay, the only part of the Gulf Coast still in Confederate hands. In this long battle Farragut scored one of the key naval victories of the war. Very large and well detailed kit. Measures over 2 feet long and features metal anchor chain, running and standing rigging and molded ratlines and sails. There has been no assembly. NOTE: some small deck details were neatly painted. You can simply paint over them or strip them with oven cleaner, DOT 3 brake fluid of other safe, tested plastic paint stripper. There is no other painting. One parts bag is still factory sealed; all other have been carefully inventoried and they are complete with all parts, decals, thread, metal chain and instructions.
