Airfix 1/72 De Havilland Heron Jersey Airlines or RAF Queen's Flight, 381 plastic model kit

1/72 381 Airfix De Havilland Heron Jersey Airlines or RAF Queen's Flight

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Fair

1950s type two box with great artwork. This is an excellent kit with good detail. It features separately molded control surfaces, cockpit detail, optional position cabin door, retracting undercarriage, rotating props, boarding stairs, stewardess, family (mother, father and son) and business man as well as two seated pilots. NOTE: one wheel has been painted black. Both forward horizontal stabilizers have been assembled. Quality of assembly is excellent - no gaps and no visible glue. There is other assembly or painting. Inventoried complete with all parts, both decal sheets and instructions. The Heron was the result of a larger and redesigned Dove and first flew in 1950. It's ability to operate from rough fields and ease of maintenance quickly make it a favorite for feeder and independent airlines in the UK and overseas. Heron IIs were also selected by the RAF for the Queens Flight, which is a statement to it's reliability and safety.
