Life-Like 1/32 1914 Mercer Raceabout - Bagged plastic model kit

1/32 Life-Like 1914 Mercer Raceabout - Bagged

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: No Box

Bagged kit - no box. The box is shown for reference only. Life-Like release from original Pyro molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of it's kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. In some cases, the specific car and owner is on the box. This car is an exact reproduction of the car owned by Ralph T. Buckley, owner of the Antique Auto Shop of New Jersey. This shop specialized in rebuilding Mercer automobiles to factory new condition. The car was part of the Gene Zimmerman display of over 150 such cars in Holiday West PA. The model includes rubber tires, brass colored parts, light blue injection molded parts and clear parts. Features detailed chassis, complete motor and interior and a removable hood or 'bonnet'. NOTE: the fenders were once glued to the frame. Very little glue was used and the fenders fell off with all mounting tabs still intact. There are two spots of liquid glue on one fender that will need to be lightly sanded smooth. There is no other assembly. The kit is missing two fender to frame braces, which can be easily made with stock plastic or pulled sprue. Inventoried with all other parts and instructions.
