1/1 C201-129 Pyro Buccaneer Antique Pistol - American circa 1787 Lancaster Pennsylvania

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

From about 1966. Early hardbox issue. In addition to cars, ships, planes and figures, Pyro added an excellent line of well-known and not-so-well-known life-sized (1/1) scale pistol and rifle models to their line. In each case Pyro gained access to the actual weapon during the kit design, insuring a very accurate model. This is a full size model is an exact copy of an actual early American pistol that was handmade in the year 1787 by an unknown gunsmith in the vicinity of Lancaster, PA. Most flintlock pistols of this period were carried by US Army officers on horseback. These weapons were unreliable and hard to reload, so they were designed with a heavy stock. After firing it made for a handy club. Molded in woodgrain and gun metal silver. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag including instructions.
