1/72 Contrail A.V. Roe Manchester Conversion Kit
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Exc+
Vac conversion kit with main vac airframe parts (wings, engines housings, tail etc). Requires any 1/72 Lancaster kit to complete. This kit has never been started and is complete. The Manchester was an RAF bomber which entered service in November of 1940 with 207th Squadron. The design was sound but the Vulture engines were troublesome. Engine failures, fires and poor serviceability made it unpopular with crews. AV Roe was quick to solve this problem and wasted no time in replacing the Vulture with the Merlin - creating the Manchester Mk III - the prototype Lancaster.
