Bagged kit - not box. The box is shown for reference only. 1962 issue. Well detailed, large scale model measures 15.75 inches long when assembled. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing the following parts: small ammo box, (1) prop shaft and flag staff. All parts could be made from stock plastic. Does not include decals. Instructions are photocopied. Inventoried complete with all other parts. The Aaron Ward served as a station ship during the first trans-Atlantic flights of NC-1, NC-3 and NC-4 in 1919. During that time she was commanded by the famous Commander R.A. Spruance (later Admiral) of Midway fame. After that she served in the Pacific Fleet. In 1940 she became part of the famous Lend-Lease arrangement and was renamed HMS Castleton and saw heavy duty as a convoy escort in the North Atlantic till 1944.
