1/490 85-5224 Revell USS Yorktown CV-5 Aircraft Carrier

1998 reissue of the original 1967 kit. The Yorktown was one of three prewar sister carriers along with Enterprise (CV-6) and Hornet (CV-8). The Yorktown saw extensive action in the Coral Sea and Midway and was lost after an epic struggle to save the ship. Very nicely done kit. Features 20 SBDs, 20" long hull, movable cranes and optional position elevators. The box art shows the wartime finish, but the kit contains decals for this or the prewar high-vis finish. Never started. Parts are still internally bag sealed and includes decals and instructions.
