Lindberg 1/48 Russian Mig-19, 521 plastic model kit

1/48 521 Lindberg Russian Mig-19

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

Earlier 1950s Ray Gaedke hardbox artwork. Rare issue with the earliest rectangular 'Lindberg Line' simplified logo on the box top and the circular (1st) Lindberg logo on the short sides. This is a large scale (1/48) 'theoretical' Mig-19. The aircraft never existed in this configuration. However, Aurora made one almost just like it; it is believed that they both used the same magazine drawing of the Mig as the basis for the models. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts decals and instructions. Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. After the war, Lindberg and Olsen had a strong hand in early United States injection molded kit development. Please see the article located on this website about early USA plastic kit manufacturers.
