Airlines 1/72 De Havilland Dh-88 Comet Racer, 4901 plastic model kit

1/72 4901 Airlines De Havilland Dh-88 Comet Racer

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

From ex-Frog molds. Jo Kotula artwork. Very finely molded - perhaps the finest 1/72 Comet kit available. The Comet was the winner of the famous 1934 England to Australia Air Race. The Australian Sir MacPherson Robertson put up $42,000 in prize money to the winner, and the DH-88 was specifically designed for the race. This low wing monoplane was the first British aircraft to incorporate retractable landing gear, wing flaps and variable pitch props in one design. Never started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
