1/72 209 Airmodel Junkers Ju-90 V1-V4 and Production - Civil or Military Transport Bagged

Vacuform Model Kit

Generalleutnant Wever was largely responsible for the resurgent Luftwaffe. In addition to being an excellent planner, he was a believer in strategic bombing. One of his developments was the Ju-89 four-engined bomber. However, his death in 1936 in an air accident brought all such development to a close. Junkers, however, saw use for the Ju-89 as a civil transport. They used the original wing, four engine installation and tail unit for the Ju-90 V-1 (D-AALU) with four DB600A power plants. This prototype and the second (D-AIVI) crashed shortly after the test flights began. V3 (D-AURE) was much more of a success and V4 D-ADLA was the forerunner of the Lufthansa production series. Ten of the very large airliners were built. Passengers traveled in comfort in five compartments seating four to each side of the isle. The ten airplanes had hardly entered service when WWII began and the Luftwaffe took them over. The kit has parts to build several versions of the Ju-90. It includes wheels for all versions, all engines except for 002 and 004 (Production numbers 2 and 4), and the fuselage is suitable for V1/V2/V3/V4, 003, 005/006/007/008/009/010. This kit has not been started and has been inventoried complete with all parts, plans and instructions. Not recommended for builders who are not experienced with vacuform kits.
