Pyro 1911 Stevens-Duryea Roadster, 1/32, C461-125

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

$42

1967 Pyro issue from original molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of it's kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. In some cases, the specific car and owner is on the box. The model includes rubber tires, brass plated parts, colored injection molded parts and clear parts. Features detailed chassis, complete motor and interior and a removable hood or 'bonnet.' The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete including instructions.

There is an excellent full color painting guide on the back of the box. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Sealsmodel Mikasa Pre-Dreadnought Battleship, 1/700, SMP0013800

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+

$38

Very highly detailed and finely molded waterline model. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. Mikasa was the only ship of her class and took part in the Russo-Japanese war. In the late 1890s the Japanese shipyards were not quite yet ready for such a project, so the Navy contracted with Vickers in Great Britain to build this ship, which is actually a highly modified Formidable class. Mikasa saw a great amount of action at Port Arthur and the Battle of the Yellow Sea. She was preserved as a museum ship in 1923. Mikasa suffered from neglect during and after WWII, but was restored to her former glory in the 1950s after a campaign led by the Japan Times and Admiral Chester Nimitz. The Mikasa is the only surviving pre-dreadnought in the world.

Aurora Sopwith Camel, 1/47, 102-79

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$55

Rare early 1960s issue and harder to find than the original 1956 release. This was only made for a year or two before the new artwork release. Please note the full, original artwork (the only issue with such) due to the 'transparent' new simplified oval logo at the lower right. The side logos still have the old 'Famous Fighters' in the border. Molded in the correct gloss olive drab and black plastic and with the chock ground base and pilot & mechanic figures. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts decals and instructions.

Aurora French Nieuport 11, 1/48, 101-79

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc+

$65

Still factory sealed. Rare, and even more so in sealed condition. Fifth issue with the original issue artwork still dated 1956 -but actually this kit is from the early/mid 1960s. This is the final issue to retain the original Jim Cox artwork. In this issue, the post-'Famous Fighters' blue oval has been placed in the upper left, allowing us to the see the complete artwork. (The first issue had the square Northern Lights logo in the lower left; the second issue replaced it with the early famous oval logo sunburst.) Inventoried 100% complete with all parts decals and instructions. Please NOTE that the box is graded 'Sealed Exc+' because there is very light foxing on the left side below the 2nd aircraft. Thanks to Eugene DuBey, we know some history on the aircraft that Aurora modeled. The tail # on the kit rudder is 1354, the number of a Nie 16 that served with "CAM de Dunquerke / St Pol sur Mer", 1916-17.

The first crossing of the Atlantic Ocean was in April of 1838 and took just over 15 days.
