Two piece box Revell of Great Britain issue from the 1960s. This is the 'narrow' version - there is a 'taller' issue also. The kit is molded in a beautiful light gloss baby blue and clear and has a much more extensive decal sheet than the USA issue. The 'snort' allowed them to recharge the batteries and renew the air, eliminating the last needs for surfacing. A development of the Walther Peroxide Boats, the XXIs were seen as a faster way to put a more advanced submarine into service.
