Hasegawa Boeing B-47E Stratojet - USAF SAC, 1/72, K7

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

Sold

Nicely detailed model with fine panel detail, cockpit, optional opened or closed bomb bay doors with internal iron bomb load, tail "stinger" and detailed landing gear with 'good' wheel well detail. The kit has never been started. Some parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags; the ones that are no longer sealed have been inventoried complete. Includes decals and instructions. The B-47 was a very advanced aircraft at the time. The XB-47 first flew in 1947. The big jet's speed was equal to or greater than all current fighter aircraft, so it received radar-controlled twin 20mm cannons in the tail as the only guns. Through the use of mid-air refueling, the B-47 gave SAC it's first all-jet force for nuclear or regular bomb delivery. Although it was tricky to fly, Stratojets flew into the mid 1960s. A program to strengthen the wings for low-level attack was responsible for prolonging the service life.

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Sold

The kit is dated 1958, but this is obviously a later issue as the Aurora logo does not say 'Famous Fighters' in the border and has no sunburst. The two side logos, however, do say 'Famous Fighters' on the logo. Due to the 100 price extension, it is most likely from 1960 or '61. Kit features movable rudder, elevators and wing ailerons, cockpit with pilot, seat, instrument panel, gun sight and feet stirrups, auxiliary gas tank and rotating prop and wheels. Molded in gloss dark green and clear. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.
