1998 Revell-Monogram re-issue of the classic Monogram "Four Star" model. This model features a novel retractable landing gear system: when you pull the prop outward and rotate it CCW, the landing gear retracts. Pull it outward and rotate it CW, and the gear extends. Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal. Also has movable control surfaces, highly detailed cockpit, full decals for two colorful aircraft, sliding canopy and instructions for rigging. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Decals are in 'mint' condition.

Early Monogram 'Four Star' aircraft kit with the artwork dated 1955. This is the fourth issue of this kit since it has 'PA6-98' and 'The Name For Quality Hobby Kits' in the box top logo (the third issue has 'Four Star Plastikit' in the logo). The actual release for this kit is probably between 1961 and 1966. Although created to 'box scale' (1/67 in this case), this model was very popular and remained in the catalog right up into the 1970s. Molded in the correct gloss silver and clear. The kit has never started. Inventoried with all parts, decals and instructions present.

This kit is nicely detailed and molded for that time and features retractable landing gear, working elevator, rudder and ailerons, rotating propellers and wheels, optional opened or closed rear and front doors and there is an interior bulkhead and floor at the rear of the fuselage. Includes paratrooper, airline steward figure and two pilots. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Silver City was a independent British Airline that operated up to 15 DC-3s and was well known for it's Air Ferry Service with the Bristol Superfreighter (which Airfix also made a kit of).

The SM 81 was an Italian bomber, torpedo bomber and transport in service from 1935 and 1945. It was derived from the MS 73 transport in 1934 and ordered into mass production following successful testing. The aircraft saw action in Eritrea/Ethiopia, Spain and Spanish Morocco, Libya, Albania, Italy and East Africa. Some even saw action in the Italian and Finnish Air Forces after WWII. From 1972 and nicely detailed for that time. Features optional cowls for Piaggio and Alfa Romeo engined versions, very good interior, retracting and rotating turrets with elevating guns, optional position crew doors, separately molded control surfaces, rotating props and wheels, optional torpedo and markings for two aircraft (camo and Pipistrello).
