Large scale model for free flight, radio control conversion (R/C) or control line. Features die cut balsa parts, die-cut plywood parts, other wood stock as required, vacuform engine, cowling and other detail parts, completely finished scale wheels, metal and nylon hardware for the gas powered version, pre-formed metal gear struts, rubber motor, tissue, propeller, full size plans and a very large color decal sheet. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Sterling was a famous manufacturer dating back to the 1930/40s flying model craze. Although they continued to produce kits for decades after the flying model slump following World War II, they eventually fell victim to the general lack of interest in modeling that occurred in the early 1980s. I always considered Sterling models to be deluxe kits as they were very complete.

Very rare. 1970s Revell of Brazil (Kikoler) issue of the large scale and well detailed kit with FAB markings. Has detailed R-2800 engine with removable panels, fully detailed cockpit, pilot figure, two wing pylons with bombs, centerline drop tank and moving prop and wheels. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The decals are still in a small factory sealed bag and in amazing 'near mint' condition. The instructions are 'excellent.'

Very finely molded and detailed for that time and features detailed cockpit & gear wells, choice of two canopies, pilot figure, dual drop tanks and much more. The decals are for Col. Howard, who was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. He was an AVG pilot and became the first US pilot to become an ace in both the Pacific and European theaters. His aircraft 'Ding Hao' means 'OK!' in Chinese.

Revell XSL-01 Manned Space Ship - 'S' Issue, 1/96, H1800-198

NOTE: ideal builder, missing (2) small parts and a section of railing; please read carefully for the condition. One of the 'Holy Grail' of 1950s Space Kits. 1957 first and only issue 'S' kit with the fantastic box art. Molds reportedly damaged beyond use, which makes reissues impossible. The spaceship was designed by the rocket scientist Ellwyn E. Angle of Systems Laboratories Inc. Features detailed manned top stage with full interior, removable top, opening hatch, spaceship and ground crew members and detailed working launch pad. The main stages and boosters snap apart to recreate all phases of the flight from Earth takeoff, Lunar Landing and Return to Earth. The included 'XSL-01 Operations Manual' outlines in words and illustrations each phase of the spaceship's trip. Molded in the correct gloss orange, silver, gloss metallic blue and clear. Never started. All internal factory cardboard presentation material is present and excellent. Inventoried and NOTE: missing 2 small parts: (1) #7 crew member (the other 2 are present) and (1) #41 small solar collector (the other one is present). There are no other missing parts. On one #50 walkway, one short section of railing is broken off; the stanchion (vertical post) is present but a 3/4" of top rail is missing. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts present. The decals are flat and 100% intact and in 'excellent++' condition with typical age yellowing as the only flaw. Instructions are complete but only 'good' and the Operations Manual booklet is 'excellent' with typical yellowing as the only flaw. Box is graded 'very good' and displays well but has some wear and creasing, mainly at the right center side. Color and gloss are excellent. There is no fading or stains, and no price tags or tag marks. There is no tape or tape marks beyond the original factory sealing tape. Flaws include two perfectly repaired corners (all done correctly from the inside), light creasing as shown on the right center box top and creasing on the left long side. Shipping insurance is required on this kit.

Rare 1st issue with the early full color 'The Aurora Line' rectangular logo. Although not dated, the logo tells us that it is from 1954/1955. The model features a trailer with dual tires, front mount refrigeration condenser and engine, separately molded suspension and wheels, mud flaps, auxiliary wheels and 5th wheel. The White 3000 truck features frame construction with separately molded suspension, dual and single wheels, gas tanks, 5th wheel coupler, interior and two piece cab. Decals are furnished for the truck and trailer. Molded in silver (trailer) and bright, dark red (truck) and with black rubber tires. Inside, the kit is like new. All parts are still factory sealed in the crinkle bags. Decals and instructions are in 'excellent' condition.

Rare kit from 1965. Features all metal one-piece body and roof that is factory painted and lettered and all windows perfectly pierced. The factory paint has no damage and is mint. The floor is routed wood and factory painted. Includes factory painted car ends, working rubber bellows, clear windows, underside details, roof details, grab irons and full instructions/plans. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including instructions. Smooth Sides models was located in Brooklyn, New York and produced and excellent line of passenger equipment similar to Blue Streak and American Beauty.
