Airfix Henschel Hs-123 Dive Bomber - Type Three Issue - Bagged, 1/72, 136

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc+

$24

Still factory sealed with an 'excellent+' condition header. This is a Type Three logo model from the 1960s and is a fine kit that is well molded and detailed for that time. The Hs-123 was the Luftwaffe's first in-service dive bomber and was built by the famous locomotive maker Henschel. The '123 had been replaced by the start of WWII by the Stuka, but demand continued for the aircraft and they were of great use in Belgium and France. During the terrible weather of the Russian campaign, the HS-123 once again found itself in demand. When conditions were so bad that other aircraft could not fly, the Hs-123 would often be in the air. The sturdy construction and good flying characteristics made it a favorite among pilots.

Airfix Great Western Ocean Liner, 1/180, X882-1800

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Good++

$169

Still factory sealed but the seal has a few splits on the box top as shown. The Great Western was the first ship specifically built for the Atlantic Ferry Service and was designed by I.K. Brunel (who designed the Great Eastern). When launched in 1837, she carried 120 first class, 20 second class, and beds could be set up for an additional 100 if needed. The crew was 60 men. The first crossing of the Atlantic Ocean was in April of 1838 and took just over 15 days. After crossing the Atlantic 64 times, she ran for 10 years between Southampton and the West Indies before being broken up in 1857. The kit is the large scale Airfix Japan issue; it is well detailed and features full hull, complete deck fittings, ships boats, preformed rat lines, detailed paddle wheels, billowing sails and much more.

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

$26

NOTE: the kit inside is from 1992; the box is from the 1960s issue with fantastic art work. The Bloodhound was an early Mach 2 surface to air missile that defended Great Britain. Once these burned out and fell away, the main ramjet took over and the missile road a radar beam to the illuminated target. This is a detailed and well molded kit for that time and includes one Bloodhound missile, working launcher assembly and transport trailer. NOTE: this kit has some 'excellent' quality subassembly as noted: jeep body shell built; launcher side panels to base; launcher "A" frame built (3 pieces). There is no other assembly.
